Doesn't look like this forum gets much action but I'll ask my question anyway. Does anybody have any thoughts on the various specification systems that are available? I've looked at Masterspec and BSD. BSD looks OK and is considerably cheaper and maybe easier to use. However, it seems that Masterspec is better known and approved by the AIA. It seems most firms do specs by the seat of their pants, using previous projects and specs that they have developed down through the years. I don't have that option. Besides, I like the idea of starting from scratch with something I am comfortable is complete and accurate. Any thoughts? Tom Milleson Milleson Architects 115 W.
