You've done a good job! In the members area the frame on the left could be narrower with smaller lettering. That way the HTML version of the newsletter could be read without scrolling back and forth. I think all newsletters and other announcements should be send via e-mail with links to the AIA-MT Website. Then provide search capabilities in the future. It's a waste of our resources to mail or fax information about past and upcoming events. (Think of how many staples we have wasted over the years). Also, all members should get an e-mail address and provide it to other members so this communication can take place over the Internet. Maybe people have them but refuse to share. They may think it's like a pie - if they share it they will have less. Or worse, they might have a lot of them but are hoarding them for Y2K. I myself am ashamed to admit I have 16. In the spirit of the season I'd be willing to share some with a needy architect. |

Posted At 21:58:45 11/20/99 Jeff-- Thanks for test driving the website a little. It will take a little time for this site to become used and useful. As my service on the Board begins to taper off, it will require that people who want this to become a permanent, institutionalized part of the Chapter's service keep the Board's feet to the fire. Rick Schlenker, out of Schlenker/McKittrick is the next president and can be reached at smahelena@aol.com. I think Joann was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to update the schedules/calendars, etc. The trick will be remembering to do it. Thanks for your suggestion about the screen--I'll discuss the suggestion with the webmaster and see what she thinks. I agree that much, much more of our communication should be via the internet. That will be even more achingly obvious in the near future. Talk to Rick, talk to Joann, and let's continue talking as well |

Posted At 18:39:56 06/05/2001 I agree, the members should all have e-mail addresses. I've just updated the "List of Members" page with more of them linked to their e-mail. Also, I'll work on making the left frame narrower for you. :-) |
