ADVOCACY

AIA Montana believes values-based advocacy is a responsibility of our organization and critical to the integrity of our profession as architects. We aspire to high ethical and professional standards, and we work diligently to further our principles in the regulation, licensing and legislation that govern our profession. We recognize the fluid, transitory nature of our profession and the adaptation necessary to meet the challenges of our changing world. AIA Montana strives to act as the unified voice of our membership, advocating for sustainability through a proactive approach to design that integrates health, welfare and safety throughout all types of Montana’s urban and rural communities. We embrace equity as a core tenant of our
organization, our profession, and in our service to the communities of Montana.

LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE

We’re currently looking for interested members to participate in an on-going legislative committee to work with our Advocacy Director, Lobbyist and Government Affairs Rep.  This committee will help formulate an annual Legislative Agenda, research issues, and track and report to the board on activity and bills during the 2027 Session.

Please reach out if you’re interested!
